Art-Nude with Jocey
Every other month or so we try to organise a creative shoot just for us. It is exactly what it says on the tin, A shoot specifically for creativity. We meet some amazing new people and like minded artists, It prevents us from becoming stifiled or stale in our work, It keeps us interested in photography and allows us to try new styles and techniques which when perfected we implament into our weddings.
This shoot with Jocey (A Fantastic new model) had a bit more meaning however as we were still shooting creatively and having fun but its also in correspondence with the webinar we have tomorrow Monday the 23rd of November at 7pm for The PhotographerAccadamy.com Its also to kick start some future shoots we have planned ahead of our masterclass for the SWPP only 2 months from now Saturday the 23rd of January in London.
All shot with 2 lights, The first setup was a clamshel set up just for headshots as a warm up to the rest of the shoot. The second set up was splitlighting and we lit Jocey with red and blue just for evidence on where each light was directed and the area the light was directed to spill. We shot Jocey both nude and with the nearest thing to a wedding dress you could expect our Art-Nude model to have ;) in the same pose wit the same light setup to show you how we developed our eye's for light. Once Nude its very obvious where the light needs to hit in order to flatter the human form, Nothing to hide behind, just light and pose. In conjunction with that, No matter what clothes we use after that once you keep the direction of light the same and similar position of your model the results will still be identicle. We then fired in some smoke but as i said this was a creative shoot and that was just for fun ;) The rest of this shoot was really down to play with some new styles and textures, Things i will go into in more detail during the webinar. I will also bring a lot more with me for the societies in January.
Jocey is a welcomed and valued new edition to the Ken Byrne Photography Family see you very soon for round 2.
