The Village Barn Wedding — Daisy & Darren
Daisy and Darren’s wedding at The Village Barn, Tyrrellspass, Co. Westmeath was a day filled with personality, warmth and deep connection — a celebration that felt completely and unapologetically them.
Set entirely on the grounds of The Village Barn, the day flowed effortlessly from morning preparations through to ceremony and celebration, surrounded by the rich tones of autumn — soft golds, warm browns and a landscape that seemed to mirror the feeling of the day itself.
From the moment Daisy arrived in a beautifully restored vintage Volkswagen bus, there was a sense that this wedding was going to be something special.
A Personal Story Woven Through the Day
Daisy and Darren had followed our work for years, long before their wedding day ever arrived — and when the time came, they knew exactly how they wanted their story to be told.
Daisy, a member of the Celtic Blondes Irish dancers, brought a natural presence and grace to the day, while Darren matched it with a quiet strength and warmth that grounded everything around him.
Their families played a huge part in the atmosphere — welcoming, supportive and full of life — the kind of people who make a wedding feel less like an event, and more like a gathering of something truly meaningful.
Even their dog Yuki made a special appearance, adding another layer of personality and joy to a day that was already full of both.
Moments That Matter
Beneath the beauty and celebration, there was also a deeper layer to this story.
At the time of the wedding, Daisy’s mum was bravely facing a battle with cancer — something that brought an even greater sense of appreciation, presence and love to every moment of the day.
It’s these layers — the visible and the unseen — that give a wedding its true meaning.
Not just what happens,
but what it represents.
The Album Design
This album was designed to reflect the energy and individuality of the day.
A blend of soft, emotional storytelling and strong, striking imagery allows the story to move naturally — from quiet moments to joyful celebration — without ever losing its authenticity.
The rich autumn tones carry throughout the design, giving the album a warmth and depth that feels timeless.
This is not just a record of a day —
it is a reflection of a life, a family, and a moment in time that mattered.
